What Orbit keeps, and why. Plain language, kept short.

Draft for review. This page has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

This website

The public pages of this website do not have forms and do not ask for your details. We do not add advertising or analytics trackers to them. If you email us, we receive the information you put in the email.

If you use Orbit

When you create an account and use Orbit, we keep:

  • Your name, your email address and your login details. Passwords are not stored in plain form.
  • The Zerodha API key and secret you save in Orbit. These are stored encrypted. We never see or store your Zerodha password.
  • The signals your strategy sends, the orders Orbit places or simulates, and their results.
  • The details your browser gives us so we can send phone notifications, if you turn them on.

Your login is also kept in your own browser so you stay signed in.

Why we keep it

To run Orbit for you: to place and record your orders, to show your dashboard, to send you notifications, and to keep the service secure.

Who we share it with

Orbit sends your orders to your broker, Zerodha, because that is what it is for. We do not sell your information. If you switch on the optional market update videos, the text of each trade update is processed by the services that make and publish the video.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email sales@dotstark.com. Some records, such as order history, may need to be kept for legal reasons.

Changes

We may update this page. The latest version is always here. See also our Terms and the risk disclosure.
