From signal to order, in four steps
Orbit sits between your TradingView strategy and your Zerodha account. It does not pick trades. It carries out yours.
The flow
TradingView
Your own strategy decides when to buy or sell. It sends an alert.
- Your strategy, your rules
- The alert reaches Orbit by webhook
Orbit
Orbit checks the alert before anything is sent to your broker.
- The alert carries your secret
- New trades are not paused
- Your Zerodha session is active
- Practice mode or live mode
Your Zerodha account
The order is placed in your own account. Orbit never holds your money.
- Order and result are recorded
- You get a phone alert
Practice order
Orbit simulates the order. Nothing is sent to Zerodha. You can still see it on your dashboard.
Step by step
Your strategy sends a signal
You write and run the strategy in TradingView. When it wants to buy or sell, it sends an alert to Orbit. The alert carries your secret so Orbit knows it is yours.
Orbit checks it
Orbit checks the secret, checks that new trades are not paused, and checks that your Zerodha session is active. It also looks at whether practice mode is on.
The order goes to your broker account
In live mode, Orbit places the order through your own Zerodha account. In practice mode, it simulates the order and sends nothing to Zerodha.
You are notified
You get a phone alert and a message in the in-app bell. The order and its result are recorded on your dashboard.
If something is wrong, Orbit stops.
Trading is paused
New trades are not placed. A banner shows that trading is paused. Orders that close a position you already hold can still go through.
The Zerodha session has ended
Zerodha needs a login each day. If the session is down, Orbit sends you a phone alert so you can log in again.
Zerodha rejects an order
Orders can be rejected or delayed by the broker. Orbit records the result, so you can see what happened.
